In 2017 I turned to canvas and wood panel, where, in  abstract paintings, I continues to evince a similar playful and humorous experience of the emotionnally ironic and uncanny. Instead of the kinetic shoe or bicycle wheel talking to us, I explores letters and numbers, triangles and circles spiraling, winking and tilting at us as in suggested locomotion.
Contrasting bold colors and iconic shapes push and pull, attracting the imagination into a midly sardonic grin.
